Ensure your seat belt is properly fastened, with the lap belt snug and low across your hips and the shoulder belt crossing your chest. Reserve bright, contrasting colors for the most important data points you want to highlight, and use softer, muted colors for less critical information.67 Words are just as important as the data, so use a clear, descriptive title that tells a story, and add annotations to provide context or point out key insights.67 For a printable chart specifically, there are practical considerations as well.
